Senior Pastor Ben Lawson has been here for the past 27 years. Before coming to Aberdeen, he was serving at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale with Pastor Fidel Gomez. He met the love of his life Carla Lawson in Arizona and he has 5 lovely children with many grandchildren. He is an avid Green Bay packers fan! Carla Lawson is the Women’s Ministry leader here at CCSH..
Associate Pastor Mike Callaham and his bride, Karagene. “It may be cliché, but many years ago when we first read ‘verse upon verse, precept upon precept, simply teaching the Bible simply,’ we knew Calvary Chapel would be our home, even before we visited.” Both are graduates of Oklahoma State University and are currently studying together for a Masters of Theological Studies at Horizon University. “We love opening our home for Bible studies and visitors, especially missionaries seeking a break. We count ourselves richly blessed to be able to serve our brothers and sisters at Calvary Chapel of the Sandhills.”
Children’s Pastor Wayne Thomas has a beautiful wife Amanda and awesome son James. He is the Children’s Pastor here at CCSH. They love daily devotionals, fellowship, helping others, going to the beach, and family time.
.Assistant Pastor David Howell has been associated with CC Sandhills since 2005; where he met and married, his darling wife, Karen, in 2006. David and Karen are blessed with a daughter, two sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. Besides being an avid history enthusiast, David’s passions and interests include: UNC Tarheel sports, Carolina Hurricanes hockey, bluegrass music, southern homestyle cooking, and barbequed dishes of every type and variety.
